Correze apartments to rent: the great escape!

Enjoy splendid panoramic views during your Correze getaways, thanks to three natural areas. Of course, a Brive-la-Gaillarde holiday rental is ideal for discovering the Plateau de Millevaches (thousand cows), a green area where lakes are abundant. And cows of course! There are many limousine cattle in the fields, but this regional nature park bears a name whose origins are debatable. It might not come from cattle. Anyway, the discovery can start as early as 10 km from Egletons, through the marked paths criss-crossing the area around Saint-Yrieix-le-Dejalat.

Holidays in Brive call for the discovery of the vallee de la Dordogne (Dordogne valley). To the south, discover the gorges de la Dordogne. Go up to the Roc du Busatier in Marcillac-la-Croisille (fifteen minutes from Egletons) for one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the area. A little further on, towards Neuvic, the Belvedere of Gratte-Bruyere also offers an exceptional view.

Perfect to recharge your batteries in Correze, the Monedieres massif opens its arms close to your holiday home in Egletons. Chaumeil, an authentic village, is a starting point to climb to the top of Le Suc au May. At 908 metres, admire the wonderful natural spectacle. Just a little lower, the Puy de Sarran offers you another unforgettable view of the Auvergne mountains.

Sarran is one of those picturesque villages where it's nice to stroll. Take a walk to the Moulin du Cher but also visit a famous museum in Correze: the museum of President Jacques Chirac. Designed by one of the architects of the Louvre, please. It almost makes you want to be president: the amazing Sarran Museum is full of thousands of objects from all over the world, all presidential gifts!

No country holiday is complete without a broken-down castle!
You will get it, your feudal fortress on its rocky spur, with the ruins of the Ventadour castle. A castle of the 11th century uninhabited since the Renaissance, it requires some imagination. In Marcillac-la-Croisille, the leisure centre offers kayaking, sailing, water skiing and paddling, among other activities. As this lake is also surrounded by wooded areas, many activities are carried out in the trees.
